I really really love The Cat Returns, and I especially love the scene in which Haru and the Baron dance in that great hall (it's so cute!). But I wanted to give a more dramatic air asdfgd
This was all a really big experiment with shading techniques and lightning and rendering what not, and it really, really satisfied me! I feel like I leveled up somewhere.
(There's this interesting thing I wanted to do with the Baron's eyes, there's a scene in Whisper of the Heart where Shizuku looks at the Baron's statue in the light and the gemstones in his eyes sparkle in a really mysterious, really eerie way, and I wanted to somehow transport that to the version of the Baron in The Cat Returns. It was very noticeable in full size, but unfortunately got lost when I resized it </3)
